Put me in charge of food stamps. I'd get rid of EBT; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho's, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.
Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get tats and piercings, then get a job.
Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.
In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the “common good”.
Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem," consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.
If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.
AND While you are on Gov’t subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Like you did vote! For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will be removed from voting while you are receiving a Gov’t welfare check. If you want to vote, pay your own way like those who are currently supporting you. Why should you be able to vote yourself more benefits at our expense?

So you read how to eat healthy. One study says lean meat is good for you, another says stay away from red meat, now I read one that said stay away from meat all together because of the antibiotics and growth hormones, and just get your protein from beans, and tofu etc. So if I did all the things that these "experts" tell me to do, I would never eat meat, eat only organic veggies and fruits, have a super air filter in my house, go out side with a filter mask on, walk every where cause cars make you fat, never have Jack Daniels, Or coke for that matter, no gelato, pizza, and the list will go on. So I figured out that it is all opinions, and opinions are like A**Holes, every ones has one. So just live your life the way you want, eat what you want, sleep how much you want, work as much as you want.......just make informed decisions. One expert says this, another says that. What is there to believe. I can see going to these sites for information, don't let it rule your life. I can tell you right now that eating a steak once a week, especially an organic steak will not hurt you. It is all away for these people to make money. They are always pushing a book or a work out guide or something. It is funny, if you want to go to MC Donald's, go, just don't go every day. And if you do go every day, I don't cry to me your fat. I go to Micky D's, some time more than I should, but I also eat bananas for snacks and Cliff Bars and other healthy stuff. The point is just don't let other people tell you what to do, live your own life.

You have to go to work early. That's what they call it, going to work.
Get there by 7 a.m. or some guy who says he's disabled, or some woman who claims she has kids, will steal your slice of sidewalk.
You want an interstate off ramp: lots of traffic, an overpass for shade. Or a busy intersection with a long stoplight.
And you need a sign: your life story summed up on a soggy square.
Better yet, make two signs, so you can be whatever you need to be.
"After a while, you learn what works," said Roderick Couch, 28. He was in a wheelchair outside a St. Petersburg Wal-Mart last week, clutching a sign that said, "Disabled." The word was in quotation marks, as if the writer were crossing his fingers. Couch limps but can walk 100 blocks of U.S. 19 in a day. He hasn't worked since he got out of jail.
His girlfriend, Jazmine Saldana, 24, held her own banner: Homeless. No quotation marks, but maybe there should have been. Since the couple started panhandling in November, they have had enough money to sleep in a motel all but one night.
"You have to know how to fly," Saldana said. That's what they call it, flying a sign.
Every day, from dawn to dusk, they're out there. From Seminole to St. Petersburg, Clearwater to Carrollwood, hundreds of panhandlers brandish their makeshift billboards across Tampa Bay. Their weathered faces and sad signs have become part of Florida's landscape.
There's the elderly African-American man who swears he fought in 'Nam. His hat reads "U.S. Air Force." His sign includes the Marine motto, "Semper fi."
There's the bearded white guy whose cardboard claims he was "layed off." And the young guy with the red goatee and "Anything helps" sign who hangs out by Tampa's Bayshore Boulevard Publix.
Every day, you see more.
Around Tampa's Hyde Park alone, panhandlers say they can count at least 200 of their kind. In St. Petersburg, off I-275, nine people compete for shifts at one intersection. Turf wars erupt. A 60-year-old man who uses a walker recently shoved a 49-year-old into the bushes. "He knew I owned that spot under the tree."
Maybe you feel sorry for them: Times are tough. It could be me.
Maybe they make you angry because they want handouts.
Homeless or not, desperate or not, they all have their strategies, each one forged in the blast oven of the streets.
"Panhandling isn't just a job. It's an art," said Cliff Stewart, 49, who has worked the I-275 22nd Avenue N exit in St. Petersburg since he got out of prison two years ago.
You have to know what moves people most: beer and God.

You have to learn the rules. What to do, what to avoid doing. You have to set quotas. And know the right words.
Police say: Stay on the sidewalk. Wait for people in the cars to call you over.
Panhandlers say: If someone else is waiting to fly a sign, you have to rotate out every half-hour. If you leave to get a drink, you forfeit your shift.
Try to make eye contact. People in BMWs and Lexuses won't look at you, the panhandlers say. People in beaters give the most. When someone gives you money, that's a hit. Or a lick. Try to look friendly but not too happy. Remember, you're hurting.
Don't smoke or drink beer or scratch yourself. Don't wipe your nose or pick your scabs. Who would want to slide money into that hand? Stand on one foot sometimes so drivers will think you're not drunk; your eyes are bloodshot because you've been crying. And just because some hippie gives you a baggie of mushrooms, it doesn't mean you're going to trip.
"People hand you all sorts of things," said Damion Ogdee, 29, who works the Hyde Park area. He has gotten Budweisers and Pop-Tarts, cigarettes and T-shirts. His buddy once scored four tickets to a Poison concert.
Women give more money than men. Female panhandlers fare better but have to put up with obscene propositions. "If I was doing that," said a thin young woman named Sarah, "you think I'd be out here holding this sign?"
She was at the 22nd Avenue N off ramp in St. Petersburg. Her cardboard said, "Stranded! Trying to get home." With all the competition, it's no longer enough to be generically needy.
"The more specific your request, the more people can relate," said Sarah. "That way they think they're really helping."

Two debates divide the panhandling community: Stay on one corner or float? Wheelchair or walker?
If you always work the same sidewalk, regulars get to know you. If you float from spot to spot, your face — and your story — stay fresh.
Some say wheelchairs increase people's pity. But if you're in a chair, you can't get to the cars. Wheelchair Dave, they say, did better with his cane.
"A lot of people out here aren't sincere," said Roderick Couch, the "disabled" ex-con. "That messes it up for the rest of us."
According to Couch, there are low-class panhandlers "who sleep outside and won't even clean themselves." And high-class panhandlers "who might even work a little on the side, so they don't really need your money."
"Me and Jazmine," he said, "we're middle-class. We believe in washing our clothes and our butts. We got morals."
Like everyone else interviewed, they have criminal records. He served time for stealing from the Spring Hill IHOP where he worked. His girlfriend was arrested for prostitution.

Your sign is your voice. You have only a few words to get sympathy at a stoplight.
Scrawl your messages in magic marker on the back of a Listerine box or a pilfered "Home for Sale" placard. Highlight your words with crayons. End your pleas with three exclamation points.
Are you homeless? A vet? A single dad? A widow? Do you have an ailing mother or pet? All the above?
One guy parades his limping dog. Another says he sends half his money to his 2-year-old son. One admits he stays out just long enough to collect enough for smokes and a six-pack.
"I don't need much. So I don't have to stay out here long," said Jeffrey Buzzard, 49, who lives behind a St. Petersburg church. In the back of his dirty camouflage shorts, he carries three signs. His morning pitch says "Layed off." His evening placard: "No work today." Like he tried. On Sunday, he flies: "Got God? Need daily bread."
Other professional panhandlers swear by the two-sign minimum. You have to watch the cars, switch it up. When Cliff Stewart sees an older driver at 22nd Avenue N, he holds: "Homeless Vet." For people who look like they party, he has: "Why lie? I need beer. God bless!"
God and beer. If you don't like one, he says, you're bound to like the other. And you'd be surprised how many people love both.

Though their signs say they're homeless, few panhandlers seem to sleep outside. Most make at least enough for a can of beer, a piece of chicken and a cheap motel room. The typical daily take falls between $60 and $100.
Couch and Saldana say they each collect about $80 a day, more than they would make flipping burgers or stocking shelves. They don't have to punch a clock, ask for a lunch break or pay taxes. "A while back, a woman gave us $400," Couch said. "Tell me where you can make that in a day."
Ogdee, outside the Bayshore Publix, sets his weekly quota at $800. His income has never fallen short in the four months he has held "Homeless. Anything helps. God bless!"
"I'm paid a week in advance on my rent," he said. "I got a load of food in my motel fridge."
He insists he's not panhandling. "I'm not asking for nothing. I'm just holding a sign."
So what does he call it? He laughs.
"Making money."

If Obama gets elected, it will be the end of the USA as we know it. We are just a whisper away from being a completely socialistic country. At that point we may as well throw out the Constitution, The Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence. That United States will be gone for ever. I would say we could call our selves "The Divided Socialist States of America". I tell you what, if Obama get in the White House this country will be as divided as the Grand Canyon is wide. All the spending this guy wants to do, all the free money he wants to give to the poor will make all the real tax payers even more mad once they see that his so called tax cut for 95% of the people is a complete joke. That will divide us to the point where we elect another Reagan, or go into civil war. I am up for either one. Our governing body has completely let the American people down. Libs in my mind again. I read all this stuff of what they want to do with this country. I one of the two Democrats get into office this year, you can kiss this country good by for the next 20 years. They want to raise taxes on the rich, and cut them for the middle class. Why don’t they just cut taxes for all? I thought Liberals were supposed to be equal. No of course not. The only people that Liberals want rich are themselves, but they want to control every thing else. Time and time again cutting taxes for all people even the rich bring more money into the Government. Raise the taxes and revenue falls. I can’t get it through people’s head that if rich people have more money, then so will every one else. If Obama gets into power the tax rate for the rich reportedly will be around 50%. So if you rake in a million dollars you leave with $500,000. Now that rich person has less money to buy stuff like new cars or services that rich people use. If I was a rich guy who saw my taxes go up to 50%, I may not want to pay for that cleaning lady that I employ, or the car wash guy to come by the house and wash the cars. So there are two people out of work right away. Two less people paying taxes to the Government, less sales tax being generated at the stores. Now there are two more people going to the unemployment line to get checks from the Government. These Democrats tell people they deserve better lives. You only deserve what you work for in my book. Then, if you want to give you’re money away, then that is you’re decision. It is not the Governments job to take money and give it to people. I am so sick of this nanny state, socialism type, Government bail out bull crap. And with Obama and Clinton, it will only get worse.
What happens when the Liberals spend all the money that they get from the rich to pay for all the new socialistic programs? Where are they going to get the money then? I know, they will raise taxes on the middle class. Soon after that there will be no rich or poor. There will be rich Liberal Government people and poor people working hard to just make it by. In the mean time China will become a super power and it will take Russia with it. Then we will be in the same position Russia was in when we toppled their country. We wont have enough money to buy bullets, let alone defend our selves. So off we go to be under one world government. We will have to relinquish our Sovereignty to just eat.

Barack Obama scares me to death. He and Hilary are as close to Communist as you can get in The United States. I was reading about Obama's Fairness Doctrine he sent to Congress. He basically wants to make sure that all of the radio stations " Talk Radio " have balanced and fair time for both sides of an issue that has to do with the public interest. Well talk radio is about the only palace conservatives have for an outlet. And Barack wants to take that away. The doctrine is a FCC regulation that requires broadcast licensees to present controversial issues of public interest in a manner deemed by the FCC to be " honest, equitable and balanced. " Dems in Congress fought to bring it back last year but failed to get enough votes to do so. So if this passes, which I doubt it will, the never do anything wrong U.S. Government will tell us what we have to hear on our radio dial. That sounds like Communism to me. So if we have a Liberal House, a Liberal Senate and a Liberal President, you know for sure they will pass this bill with no problems in 09. All these Libs want is control over the people like Stalin. These commi libs in Washington are doing everything to take away, to smother the voices of Conservatives. We have to stop these people folks, we can't let them take over. If Obama or Clinton get into office, the end of talk radio will be here. Then it will be legislation in favor of San Francisco values all across the nation. And slowly they will pass law against tradional American values. They will slowly be widdled away. The law is always different for black people when it comes to hate crimes. They both, white and black people in this case, should be charged with hate crimes. I want to go back about 55 years ago. Back when 99% of Americans loved their country. Now we are so divided, there is a gap between us as wide as the Grand Canyon. Back in the 50's people kept their mouth shut about stuff that could get Americans killed. From our troops in Iraq, to the average people going to work like on 9/11. Now we have people supposedly leading our country, going to other countries bad mouthing the USA. This to me is completely anti-American, and treasonous. Nanci Palosi goes to Syria to kiss there ass. This a country considered to be a terrorist sponsoring country. Now we have Dennis Kucinich over there last week saying we can't win the war, we are there for the lies that Bush made up and that we shouldn't be there. Now this stuff is going to be shown all around the extreme Muslim world and used as propaganda. They are going to say look even their own leaders are coming here to speak against their own country. This kind of America hating stuff that dumb ass Dennis did is going to kill Americans. And he is in a country talking crap about America THAT BORDERS IRAQ. Right next door American soldiers are fighting with their lives and he is in the next country talking crap. This guy should be kicked out of the United States. You don't go to a country that sponsors terror and talk crap about the country you are running in the presidential race for. Change Course

A year or so ago, the Libs and their best friends The Media, all were saying "we must change course in Iraq". So we change course. Now a year later violence is down as Gen. Petraeus reports today to the House.
In the weeks leading up to this report, Democrats were saying we already lost the war, it doesn't matter what the General says we need to change course. Now he gives his report and it shows signs that we can win. But the Libs say he fudged the numbers to make it look like there is more progress than we actually made. But we can win if the Democrats quit being spineless wimps. But according to the master of defeat Sen Harry Reid, we already lost. He said today that "America know its time to change course". We did that a year ago Harry, now we're getting good results and all you can say is we need to change course.
The only conclusion I can come to is that no matter what happens in Iraq, good or bad, the Liberals who run the country will say we need to change course, Bush is a looser, and the Generals are in the bag for the President. So when I hear a Liberal Democrat say we need to change course, I know they are saying "PULL OUT NOW". (Despite what would happen to the Iraqis of course)
None of them will be happy until we get out or if they can figure out a way to gain from it. The Liberals are defeatist. As I watch them politicise our troop for personal gain, I see then in a more increasing Anti-American spotlight.

9/11

Here we are six years after 9/11. I see all these shows on TV about that day. The minute by minute account, recorded phone calls, "actual footage, " personal accounts by survivors, ect. Now, and the last five years, that day has been politicized by our very best Liberal Democrats. They have seem to have forgotten who did all this, and it was not our fault. They blame America for all the the wrong in the world. For instance, they attacked us because we were in there holly land, we force our movies and music on them. That is far from the truth. I don't understand
why they must tear down the U.S. We do more for the world than all the other countries combined.

The TV show I see just make me really angry. I can't watch them. When I see the videos of the planes hitting the WTC and the buildings falling down, I can't help but to get fired up. I know we haven't been attacked again yet, that is a good thing. but let the libs have there way and you can bet on it. I guess it is a good thing to see the shows, to remind me of how I felt that day, and the rest of America. But unlike most of the libs in this country I still feel the same today as I did six years ago. I bet Harry Reid or Queen Nanci P. have forgotten. We as Americans should do all we can to stop this festering pool of vile call radical Islam. But since most of Europe are Liberals as the majority of our government, I think that radical Islam is not going to be taken very seriously.

So any wack-job with a desire to kill and be killed will do anything possible to obtain a weapon. Weather it is a handgun or a shotgun or rifle, they can kill. The liberal argument holds no water what so ever. This kid at VT could have used a shotgun and still had the same results. So if it a shotgun or handgun he still would have killed a lot of people. 16 round mag or 10 round mag, there is the same end results. You will never be able to get rid of gun violence in the world, so good, law abiding citizens should be able to play the same hand as a bad guy, or at least be on an equal ground. If a crazy man breaks into my house with a gun to kill me, rape my wife and kill my kid and steal my plasma to sell for drugs, I want to be able to shoot him before he shoots me. Plus a hand gun is easier to hide and keep away from my kid's reach than a shotgun or rifle.
They took the gun from the people in New Orleans after Katrina. The people who had legal guns to protect their homes and businesses from the looters and the thugs had them taken away by the police. So the looters know the police are over stretched and the people have no guns to protect them selves so they loot with no problem, beating up old Ladies and business owners. Our own government took the rights of American citizens to protect their lively hood away. They took the right to protect your kids, property, money and life in general. What is going to happen next time another big natural disaster happens in the U.S. ? What if Barak Obama is in office, a liberal who wants to have gun control. I can not believe that some people in this country actually think that this terror plot to bring down 10 airlines over the Atlantic Ocean is a plot between Bush and Blair. That stupid, ignorant mentality is what is messing this country up. The ignorant and liberal people are a scary thought to me. I don't see how people miss the truth about what is going on in the world. The Muslim extremist want us dead. But not just the U.S.A., but all of western society. As I sit here waiting the results, I watch Hanity & Colmes, and their reporting that Lamont is ahead. But it is really close. Joe is the last of the old democrat's left in the country. The ones who really cared for their fellow man but tough on defense of this country. The new Dems, the Moveon.org crowed have no interest in defending the country. As Shean Hanity just said in front of me on TV, "this is the night the Democrats officially have been taken over by the extremist of Moveon.orgs."

Ok, now all the politics are coming out about North Korea and its missile launch. I already hear people blaming Bush for it and saying "well hey never built this stuff while Clinton was in office."
Which is not true. Tom delay told Clinton that N. Korea was using the old fuel rods that Clinton himself let N.Korea have to make nuclear power with to build two bomb, that was the product of one on one talks with the famed Kim Mentally Ill. Pres Bush is taking the right road to include all the nations in talks instead of one on one talks. Look at where it got us in the 90's. And I wonder why China and Russia are so soft on these wakos in N.korea. I thought they were in this all together, we’ll see what happens with those two.

The New York Times is a good paper. But it does have a liberal lean to it. I think that the people that allowed the secret info to be printed should be brought up on charges. Also I think the White House should dig as deep into finding who leaked the info a bring that person or people up on treason charges. It is imperative to find who did this to the war on terror. When they find them, they should be exiled from the country.

Flag Burning

I see the flag burning amendment failed by one vote yesterday. I think even if it pass, and congress had the power to ban the desecration of the flag, they wouldn't use it . There would be so much bickering in the Senate it would never become law. All the free speech people would say " it is a form of political free speech." Which I don't see it that way, but they don't see or respect all the blood spilled for the flag. If you desecrate the flag, you desecrate all the freedom we all have. From the liberal, hippie, peace loving crowd to the hard right . That flag stands for all of that, and if you desecrate the flag, you desecrate the country as a whole.

I was reading Fox News website and I came across an AP story about how President Bush needs to give regular updates on the war. I wrote about this back on 8 November. The column "suggested that President Bush use an FDR-style presentation to update people on progress in the war." This would give Bush the chance to dispel any and all liberal and liberal media lies about the war effort. Sen. John Warner, R-Va., recalled that during World War II, President F.D.R. often went on the radio in "fireside chats" to tell the American people what was going on in the Pacific and in Europe.

Now, if Bush did the same, his approval rating would go up . America would see that he wants to stay in touch with the American people. Most of all we all will see the good things the brave troops are doing for the Iraqi people and the entire world.

I hope Bush gets the picture. Not only does the war effort depend on it, but the entire GOP depends on it.

Lafave vs Porter

Debra vs Jennifer. I was comparing the two sentences these two ladies got for their crimes.

Lafave who had sexual relations with a 14 year old got no jail time, three years house arrest with a curfew of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and seven years probation. Now compare that to Jennifer Porters sentence who killed two kids. She got two years house arrest, three years probation and 500 hours of community service. Porter got off with a lesser sentence and killed two kids. That blows my mind. Both of them not only should be in jail, but Porter should be in for a very long time. She ran from the scene and then covered it up before turning her self in days later. This to me is a bunch off crap.

The sentences are too lite for the both of them. You know that if Porter was black and killed white kids, she would be in jail for 50 years. Also if Lafave was a man she would atleast got jail time and more probation. These sentences are not fair to the families, the public well being and it shows the judical system sucks when it comes to pretty white girls.

France

Looks like France is having to deal with ratical muslims. The french riots are a riot for me. The French were so quick to get on America about the war in Iraq, (which France was getting kick backs from the oil for food programe) and Hurrican Katrina, and they can't even control a minority population in thier own country. To me the French look like MORONS. The president of France is a spineless noodle man, only to declare a state of emergancy after 13 days. At least the U.S. got to Katrina victims about 11 days faster.

Now all of Europe will have to deal with the muslim extreamist. These riots will probably start to spread to other parts of the liberal, leftist europe. Now they can see why America is stout on the war on terror. The muslims are moving into europe and then like in France, they will demand their own land from the country they are rioting in.

The White House needs to stand up

President George W. Bush needs to stand up to the democrats and the liberal media. The Dems do nothing but rip bush up and down, from the war they voted for, to ethics. Bush needs to take these people like Harry Reid, who was just ripping the hell out of vice president Cheany and point them out and show America how far from reality they really are.

The country needs to hear more from the President by addressing the public more often on the economy and the war, kinda like a mini State of the Union Address. If he pointed out all the good things going on in Iraq , it would off set the media's and the lefts version of the war. Also, if he would tell America that the econony is not in the tank and point out stuff like the tax cuts accually are generating more tax revinue and though gas prices are high consumer spending is still strong.
I think then his approval rating would not be so low and the GOP would not be in such hot water for 2006.

Another Hurricane

Wow another hurricane comming to Florida. This on is called Wilma, one more and we will be in the Greek alphabet. I heard from a metorologist says that it is the Japaniese making these hurricanes with a giant weather machine. Or if you listen to Green Peace typ people, it is President Bush's fault. I live in Florida and I'm sick of hurricanes, but I would'nt live any where in the U.S.. Oh well. I know Gov Bush will do a far better job than the Louisiana State government. Wish us luck....

We Need Poor People

I was talking to a guy at work today, some how we got on the subject about how he thinks that the government has a plan and a system to keep poor people poor and the rich people rich. That was one of the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

Fact is, this counrty needs people of low income. Who is going to clean the rich people's homes? Who is going to work at a car wash making minimum wage, or work at a fast food restraunt and pass out fries and burgers? Someone has to do it. Just like someone has to be a brain surgeon. We need people to work on brains, just like we need people to work on transmisions. That brain surgeon will hire a maid working for eight buck an hour, a lawn man, go to a car wash, and go on vacations where he will spend more money in hotels and the maid who cleans his room will make minimum wage.

My point is, people are poor because they choose to be. When a person does poorly in school because they are skipping class or on drugs and having kids at 17 18 and 19 they screw thier entier life up. Thus, having kids they dont go to collage and get formal education . I m not saying everyone should go to college. Are we going to have a person with a masters degree washing cars for a living? Unlikely. Those who dont go to college can just as easily get a good paying job by working hard and learning a skill. Welding dose not requre collage but you can make really good money doing it. But it is a skill you have to practice at it and put a lot of effort into it. Along with many other skilled trades. Effort is something alot of poor by choice people don't have.

Being poor is a choice, not a plight. People's lives play out by the choices they make. If you dont have a job at all, that's a choice. If you have a low paying job, that's a choice. No one forces anyone to work a certain job. When your hired, you know what the wage will be. So why take it if it doesnt pay enough. It is so easy to get one the job training these days. You just have to try, and actually stay long enough to get a decent wage.

I know there are certain people who are poor because of a tragedy or unexpected problem in life. But they are minorty among the poor. But most people are poor because they choose not to better themselves and thier situation. They dont do anything to not be poor. They collect unemployment, get "food stamps," and just essentially sponge as much as they can from the government. All the while they are blaming the same government who is giving them assistance for thier being poor in the first place.

I know the President could have moved the federal troops in a day sooner; but why didn't the mayor of New Orleans get those school buses into action to help the poor get out of the city? He must want poor black people dead just like the President. I am being sarcastic.

To call President Bush a racist that wants poor black people dead is just the most ridiculous thing in the world. If that is the case, then Ray Nagin wants poor blacks dead and the Governor of Louisiana wants poor blacks dead,( BOTH DEMOCRATS) because neither one of them had any preemptive actions under way before the hurricane made land fall. So why aren't the Democrats pounding on the Louisiana Duo. All I hear is BUSH, BUSH, BUSH. The media and the liberal left are placing no blame on state and local officials, they are placing it all on the President. The President took some responsibility, now Ray Nagin and Gov. I need some help. Why do the democrats only cry, cry, cry? I never hear any definitive plan to cure all the problems they say is wrong with this country. All of the stuff that comes out of there mouth is doom and gloom; the economy sucks, we're loosing the war on terror, so on and so forth. Nothing positive comes from the left. To the dems, Iraq is another Vietnam. They're right, it is, because of them. The left and the left wing liberal freaks who support them are the ones who say we are loosing instead of being positive and supporting our troops. They are calling our troops baby killers, and that our cause is not worth the effort. That my friends, helps to motivate the Islamic extremist in that country and around the world, including in our own country. All the attention that the liberal media gives people such as Cindy Sheehan, Michael Moore, Ted Kennedy and all the other high profile liberals who say this country sucks, just reinforces the hatred the extremists have for us. The extremists broadcast what the liberals say on their TV stations and say "Look, even people in their own country say the same thing we do." In my opinion that is aiding and abeding the enemy. So thanks for helping the terrorist Cindy, Mike, Ted and all your freinds.

Hurricane victims

When it comes to hurricane Katrina, I hear people blaming President Bush for not going on the offense when it came to this hurricane. It is not Bush's fault, it is the state of Louisiana who should be blamed. Here in Florida after Hurricane Andrew, there was help the day after the storm hit because Florida's government is on the up and up when it comes to hurricanes. There are many things that went wrong in New Orleans; including not having a worst case scenario plan in place. The Governor should have asked for the President to mobilize troops days before the storm made land fall. Don't blame the President for what happened. The state and local officials in Louisiana did not train their first responders for such a strong storm. It is the miss-management and lack of preparedness in the state government that got them into this trouble. I think they should just leave the city as part of Lake Ponchatrain and never go back.
